The vibrant twin towns of Bowness and Windermere hold enduring appeal for many visitors to the Lake District, both providing a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. Boat trips are available from Bowness to Ambleside, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is nearby, with good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park, while there are many National Trust properties in the area, as well as a variety of watersports for the more energetic. Children can enjoy the "World of Beatrix Potter" in Bowness, where latest technology brings famous characters to life. Patio doors at the front of the property lead to a small gravelled garden with furniture, ideal for sitting out and enjoying the late evening sunshine. A short stroll from the cottage leads to the Windermere Marina Village and lakeside, where a ferry takes passengers and cars across Windermere to explore Hawkshead and the beautiful Grizedale Forest Park. With Coniston Water, Kendal and Keswick within easy reach, this is a great location, ideal for a romantic break in one of Britain's premier resorts.

All ground floor. One double bedroom with ensuite (shower, basin & WC). Open plan living area with fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric fire.

Electric fire in sitting area and additional heating from electric oil filled radiator. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer, dishwasher, colour satellite TV, DVD, CD player/radio etc. All power inc. in rent. Bed linen & towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 car. Small gravelled garden with furniture. 1 well behaved pet welcome. Sorry no smoking. Shops, pubs, lake & all town amenities 5 mins walk. Please note: There are seven steps leading down to the property.

It was very central to all amenities to Bowness and Windermere. The property was excellent we will definitely be booking with you in the near future. It is not often these days to find accommodation in such excellent condition it was brilliant! Thank you for an excellent holiday.
